Waymo Targets $110B Valuation with $15B Funding Round, Alphabet’s Autonomous Unit Expands
Alphabet's autonomous vehicle subsidiary Waymo is negotiating a monumental $15 billion funding round in 2026, potentially valuing the company at $110 billion. This represents a 144% increase from its October 2024 Series C round that valued Waymo at $45 billion.
The robotaxi pioneer has scaled operations to five U.S. markets, completing 14 million trips in 2025 while averaging 450,000 weekly paid rides. Its 2026 expansion plans include launching in 11 additional domestic markets and establishing its first international presence in London.
Alphabet remains the anchor investor, having committed $5 billion in the previous round alongside notable backers like Andreessen Horowitz and Fidelity. The new capital injection WOULD accelerate Waymo's technological lead in the increasingly competitive autonomous mobility sector.
